Fallen vines covered with snow

When a tree comes down so do the vines (Virginia Creepers or wild grape) that have grown to the tree's top branches.  Here the curve of the wood lets one know that it is vine under the snow not a tree.  They provide a striking contrast to the otherwise linear nature of the woods.

  1. It appears the grapevine has snow blankets just like our trees in WI....boy are we getting dumped on. It looks like a gorgeous winter wonderland out there today...Norman Rockwell comes to mind.

  2. Beautiful pic with a nice light!
The snow has just melted here! And I don't think there are Virginia Creepers in the neighbouring woods! Will have to look at that!
Thanks for visiting my place and taking the time to comment;o)
