Big Moon Shadow

Our big moon night was a little too hazy  with thin clouds hanging around, so here it is with a shadow or two to set it off.  The night before it was dazzling, but I thought I would wait for the full-moon version.  Mistake!  First day of Spring resolution: no more camera-procrastination.

For much more intriguing shadows, visit Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday.

  1. Here too! I could not even see it last night. My husband said it was beautiful the night before. :)
    This is a beautiful photo.

  2. Here in Leeds there was a great moon, but I had no tripod with me because I was at a BBC live TV event and someone would have fallen over it. But it is a good rule for life, never put off..

  3. It was an amazing moon last night, that's for sure. Sorry your visibility was less than perfect.

    SHADOW SINGER

    Of shadows an old man did sing;
    He chanted in Guelph and Beijing;
    The shade was his friend,
    He loved it no end—
    It made him feel rich as a king!

  5. It's still pretty, but that's a good resolution!!!!

    You do NOT need an iPad for Artrage and can get a free version online to try. The artrage version is only $7 and works better--you can paint with your finger or a stylus. (more notes where you asked.)

  6. It is still a beautiful shot. I don't know how many sunsets I have missed out on because I have been in my car and my camera was in the house!! Mickie

  7. Know the feeling - I got some shots the day before but not brilliant. It looked great the next day but I didn't attempt to photograph it.
